CORYCIAN CAVE

In the place where Mt Parnassus sets, a cave holds fragments of life in its lightless passages; fragments intertwined with the Hellenic line and history. Its stalactites brought to mind bags made from animal hides (korykes) and people trusted it and placed idols of female forms and animals, vessels, and stone tools deep inside it. They worshipped Pan and the Corycian Nymphs, and millennia later they hid there to protect themselves from the enemy.
