DAVLEIA CASTLE

Myth would have it that the betrayed and irreparably hurt wife of Tereus still flies around Davleia Castle, between Orchomenus and Delphi, since Tereus transformed her into a nightingale. The castle that still stands proudly on the site of the older fortified acropolis, encloses the ruins of the church of Agii Anargyri, the stones of which were once used in the worship of Athena Polias.
