Since the late 16th century, the monastery of Hosios Serafeim Domvou has looked out onto the Corinthian gulf and invited believers to pray and be healed in the pronaos of the monastery church, where the tomb of the Saint is located. A refuge for Georgios Karaiskakis and his comrades during the Greek revolution of 1821, it stands proudly with its miracles to this day at the foot of Mt Helicon.
