ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF KASTRI, POTAMIA - KYMI

An important fortified settlement that flourished during Classical and Hellenistic times spreads over Kastri hill, north of the Potamia community on Euboea. Terracotta loom weights and idols, stone fragments, metal artefacts, inscribed tiles, and many bronze coins from Chalkis, Athens, Istiaia, Eretria, Chios, and Macedonia, indicate the rich activity in the region until the 1st century B.C.
