DELPHI ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

The first archaeological museum was established in Delphi in 1903, following the donation by benefactor Andreas Syngros, to house the finds from the French School of Athens in 1892. In 1935 repairs were made and the building was extended, while in 1958 architect Patroklos Karantinos gave the building a new form, which was completed in 1999 with a new extension. The two-floor Delphi Archaeological Museum now hosts fourteen halls with architectural sculptures, statues, as well as offerings believers made at the sanctuary, and the oracle, which all tell the story of the archaeological site in a unique way.
