ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF AMFISSA

The Archaeological Museum of Amfissa was inaugurated in 2004 and is housed in a building constructed in the early 20th century, a typical example of a two-floor town house of the era. It exhibits finds from Amfissa and other locations in the Prefecture of Phocis, chronologically covering the centuries from the Bronze Age to early Byzantine times. The coin collection stands out, part of which was donated by Drosos Kravartogiannos, while in the Museum courtyard there is an exhibit of inscriptions from various locations in the Prefecture of Phocis, as well as mosaics from secular buildings and paleochristian basilicas of Amfissa.
